Premature ejaculation affects all males at some time, mostly in teen years and into the twenties, but an estimated one third of American men aged 18 to 59 are thought to be affected, making the condition twice as common as erectile dysfunction. It's been said that man was designed to ejaculate quickly in order to keep copulating time down to a minimum - just as it is in the animal world - to avoid becoming an easy target for predators. Evolution hasn't changed this protective response and man has to learn how to overcome premature ejaculation to bring greater enjoyment to both partners.
You will need to practise the following exercise - best done in private and on your own to start with - until your body learns how to beat the premature urge every time you make love. Here's the routine:
Lie back and bring yourself as close to ejaculating - the point of no return - also described as edging - as you dare, then immediately stop all movement, take a deep breath, and clamp the base of your penis between finger and thumb tightly to prevent fluid flow. If you fail to prevent ejaculation this first time that's not unusual - try again after an hour or so (or even another day) but this time you will know to stop sooner. Clamping off between finger and thumb can, alternatively, be applied immediately below the head (glans) of the penis; try both ways. Edge closer to ejaculation each time and you will discover just how close you can get to it without actually coming.
When you have successfully edged to the closest point of ejaculation this first time, relax and let you erection die down. Stimulate again as close as you dare to the point of no return, stop all movement, and breathe deeply while clamping off then relax for 30 seconds, before repeating the whole routine. Do this exercise 4 times. By now you will be getting the idea and gaining confidence - you may even wish to go on to completion to reward yourself. In addition to avoiding premature ejaculation, it's worth mentioning at this point that if you don't go on to ejaculate but save it for an hour or so before going to orgasm, you will notice an increase in semen volume. We're all different so there can be variations in timing and volume from one man to another, but it is a point worthy of experiment.
When making love you can't replicate this exercise in quite the same way; be patient, there is a route to go, but the initial exercises will have helped you learn how far you can take it before going over the edge. You must accept there is a big difference between self-stimulation and penetration; sensitivity increases substantially during penetration- all the more reason for effective control.
Having practised the routine described, and making love with your partner, you should withdraw and keep perfectly still whilst breathing deeply and clamping off your penis when you get close to climax. Allowing a little time to regain control, you can then penetrate again. But don't be surprised if you swiftly arrive at the point of no return once more. Leave more time to relax and allow the urge to ejaculate to subside. Share what you are doing with your partner - she will know how to help by keeping still at the right moment.
Continued practise will bring results. The more frequently you practise the quicker you will be able to control the timing of your ejaculation. Climaxing together can be very satisfying. Here's a tip: when you get close to ejaculation take a deep breath and switch your mind onto something really mundane - like sweeping the backyard, or whatever you consider to be the least sexy thing you can imagine.
Progress gradually. As you grow more confident you will be able to penetrate and, instead of withdrawing at the crucial moment, simply stop thrusting and take a deep breath. If your partner recognizes the sudden intake of breath as the signal to stop moving, that will also help. Recommence thrusting well after the feeling of ejaculation subsides. You don't have to just lie there frozen still - don't forget you still have lips to kiss and hands to caress. If she would prefer you to ejaculate at that point she won't stop her movements - and you'll both be happy!
Finally, there's something I have to tell you: familiarization with your body, especially your penis, will lead to the control you desire. Penis enlargement exercises do just that. And I'm not talking about desensitization. You will quickly discover control over your erections, gain stamina, and climaxes that you never thought possible. And, of course, a longer, thicker and healthy penis. And say goodbye to premature ejaculation forever!
